Do I have to register first with 01056 in order to make cheaper calls?
No, with 01056 you don’t need to register. You simply dial 01056+citycode+phone number. That’s it.
We’re a so called “open call by call” provider. That means you can use 01056 as often as you wish. The contract begins when you dial our prefix and ends when you’ve ended your call. The billing then follows in the tariff “01056 call by call”. However, if you wish to take advantage of a permanent pre-setting (pre-selection) and /or the tariffs “01056 Premium, 01056 Professional, Call Home” then you need to register your telephone number and submit a pre-selection request.
We offer a service, you take advantage of that and the billing follows later through DTAG

Am I bound by 01056 if I opt for pre-selection?
No, with pre-selection you are not committing yourself to any one provider. You can change the provider anytime you want just by dialling another provider’s selection code.

Are connection fees charged to use pre-selection?
No, however there is a one-time charge (5,11 €) from DTAG at time of registration.

Is a minimum transaction volume necessary?
No, you can dial 01056 whenever you choose.

Many providers charge a “set-up-fee” at the beginning of each call. Is it the same with 01056?
No, there is NO set up fee at the beginning of a call.

How can I make an international call using 01056?
Very simple. First you dial 01056, then the country code e.g. France 0033, then the city code (without the “0“ at the beginning) and then the local number. For example: Paris (01): 01056 – 0033 - 1 - 123456

And what about the telephone bill?
Simple, the bill will be sent to you as always by DTAG. The charges incurred by using our services will be separately shown. You will find these under the heading: “Services of other providers”. Scroll down 01056 PM² Telecommunication GmbH.
Should you require a list of all numbers called (EVN), this can be easily arranged by contacting DTAG under free call 0800 – 33 0 1000.

Do I receive an itemized bill (EVN = Einzelverbindungsnachweis) from 01056?
Once you have requested this free of charge service from DTAG, all calls made over 01056 will appear itemized on your telephone bill.

Do I have to be aware of anything on this bill?
No. The DTAG forwards any charges for the services of other providers after collecting them. If you pay the DTAG bill on time then you are in the clear. However, call by call providers are only named in the first (original) bill. Should DTAG have to send an invoice reminder to you, then the 01056 charges are no longer itemized and the total amount shown is consequently lower. When you then settle only the DTAG reminder, amount charges for 01056 are still outstanding! DTAG will then inform us of your outstanding 01056 fees. We are consequently forced to issue a warning letter
(Mahnschreiben) thus incurring extra administrative charges.
A word of advice: Don’t lose the pre-printed remittance slip (sent with first invoice). The complete amount is printed on this form. This then can be used should a payment reminder be sent to you by DTAG.

I pay DTAG by direct debit. Must I be aware of anything in particular?
Normally DTAG debits your account for the total invoice amount. Should the debit note be returned unpaid, then, on the second attempt, only the DTAG charges/costs will be debited. All other providers will remain unpaid. In such a case, please transfer the total amount mentioned in the FIRST invoice (charges plus tax) - owed to 01056 - directly to us.

Can I pay 01056 directly?
No. Please pay the complete sum of your Telekom bill directly to DTAG within the given payment time. They in turn will forward the correct amount owed to us. Your punctual payment to DTAG will help us keep our administration costs down so that we can continue to offer you low and competitive rates.

Are calls made via 01056 as reliable as those made via Telekom?
Of course. Your call duration will be reliably and precisely logged by our technical department. This is checked and certified at regular intervals by independent auditors.Besides, as with DTAG, we are subject to restrictions of the Telecommunications Secrecy and Compliance law.

Does 01056 work for fax, internet and data transmission?
Yes, we are operating without the compression method so you can transmit data or send faxes as usual by using 01056.

Can I phone service and premium numbers over 01056?
Sorry, but it is not possible to phone service and premium numbers over 01056 All these calls are dealt with by DTAG at their outgoing rate. However, we do have some special offers in our programme. These can be seen on our website under „Mehrwertdienste/Premiumnumbers”.

Are there terms of contract or terms of notice/cancellation in connection with the pre-selection tariff?
No, we do not have any terms of contract or terms of notice/cancellation in connection with 01056. We don’t have any basic charges or minimum charges either. But please be aware that if for whatever reason you no longer need the pre-selection set-up with 01056, we are not able to disconnect. This is carried out by DTAG or your possible new provider.
